I recently shared a video showing Rolling Stone magazine’s top 50 guitar players. I shared it out of interest but thought there were some amazing players missed out and some so-so players left in.
This top 10 is pretty good. Obviously some guitarists become ‘better’ the longer they’ve been around; often because more people know of them and believe them to be great because that’s what people say. Some players do stand the test of time though, and in any context are great players.
These guys are all great players, but still, there aren’t any players here who haven’t been around for about 40 years plus. So I’d see this is ‘a’ top 10, not ‘the’ top 10.
